Trash Collection
The City of Manassas is responsible for trash pickup and can be reached at (703) 257-8259. You can also visit their website for more info here.
Trash Carts
Trash carts must be used to store and set trash out. Bags should not be put out loose on curbs. The city will provide 2 trash carts free of charge. If you need additional carts it is $50. Broken carts are replace FREE of charge.
Trash Collection Days
Trash is collected on Tuesdays and Fridays. Trash must be place out no earlier than 6pm on Mondays and Thursdays and not later that 6am on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Recycling is also collected on Tuesdays and may be placed out no earlier than 6pm on Mondays and no later than 6am on Mondays.
Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste is collected on Mondays. Yard waste should be set out no earlier than 4pm on Sundays and not later than 6am on Mondays. DO NOT place yard waste in plastic bags or in the trash with your regular trash.
Bulk Waste
Please call the Trash line at 703-257-8252 to schedule bulk pickups and TV/Monitor pickups.
Collection of bulk items such as couches, refrigerators, washer/dryers should be scheduled ahead of time and is collected on Fridays.
NEED TO GET RID OF A TV? The city of Manassas now collects TV's and computer monitor curbside on Thursdays. There is no charge. Just call the Trashline at 703-257-8252 to schedule for Thursday pickup. Place your TV on the curb IN FRONT OF YOUR HOME. You must call by Wednesday at 2pm. TV's and computer monitors WILL NOT be picked up with regular trash. You must call first and set them out the Wednesday before your pickup. If you have any questions, again call 703-257-8252.
Hazardous Household Waste
